CONCORD, Calif. – Ideal not only for active-safety systems, but virtually all vehicular systems which require a superior measurement range, reliability and guaranteed accuracy, the Systron Donner Automotive Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) can simultaneously detect both angular-rate and acceleration along multiple axes.

Packaged in a rugged housing no bigger than a deck of cards, the Systron Donner Automotive IMU includes solid-state MEMS gyroscopes, accelerometers, a CAN interface, power conditioning, and microcontroller, all configured to meet the unique sensing and packaging requirements of any OEM or Tier 1 supplier. It easily out-performs rival units, since it harnesses the power of the company’s patented MicroGyro™, the same technology that’s proven in over 40 million vehicles on the road today.

With its ability to provide fully-compensated digital data, the IMU can take the place of many other sensors throughout a vehicle, reducing complexity and cost. And because it contains the Systron Donner Automotive MicroGyro, it offers superior precision over an unprecedented measurement range and includes the exclusive Continuous Built-In Test™ for true continuous monitoring of sensor health and simultaneous rate sensing.
